Bacon Night on BBC
A special evening is planned to celebrate the great British artist Francis Bacon, currently in retrospective at Tate Modern till Jan 4th 2009.
The event includes the RTS Arts Award winning “The Strange World of Barry Who?” directed by Margy Kinmonth, featuring Harold Pinter, Gore Vidal and Franco Zeferelli.

Producer/Director Margy Kinmonth & Executive Producer Maureen Murray are delighted to announce that the Barbican Cinema, London, will present Mariinsky Theatre on the big screen at 5pm on Sunday 1st February 2009: “The film was originally conceived as a sumptuous theatrical experience and watching the film in the cinema makes you feel as if you are actually there, in the audience of the Mariinsky itself!”
Mariinsky fans are in for a double treat, as Maestro Valery Gergiev will conduct the London Premiere of the Mariinsky Theatre’s “Brothers Karamazov” later that same evening.

MARIINSKY THEATRE anniversary film directed by Margy Kinmonth will be shown on December 7th on the South Bank Show ITV 22.45 presented and edited by Melvyn Bragg.
A Foxtrot Films Production Co-produced with The Valery Gergiev Foundation in association with ITV Productions and Granada International.
MARIINSKY THEATRE will be available on DVD before Christmas with a galaxy of performance extras by the stars of the Mariinsky.
