The entire Mariinsky company of 160 musicians and singers were stranded for 2 days at Heathrow airport in the worst blizzard conditions the UK has experienced for 18 years.
Gergiev and company were enroute back to Russia after their Barbican residency which included the cinema screening of Mariinsky Theatre.

Monkey Business
Nina Conti and her puppet monkey “Monk” will be getting up to tricks again at their forthcoming charity gig in aid of multiple schlerosis on Friday 13th February at The Twentieth Century, 291 Westbourne Grove, London W11.
