Gillian Lynne Recreates Lowry Dance Drama for Foxtrot

GILLIAN LYNNE, the renowned choreographer of “Cats” and “Les Miserables”, staged a workshop rehearsal of her dance drama “A Simple Man“, inspired by the paintings of L.S. LOWRY, especially for FOXTROT’s new cinema film about the artist. Dancers from NORTHERN BALLET THEATRE performed extracts to the score by CARL DAVIS.

Foxtrot shoots Lowry with McKellen

LOOKING FOR LOWRY receives its world television premiere on the ITV Network on Sunday 24 April at 22.15.

Foxtrot’s DVD version of LOOKING FOR LOWRY will be available from 24 May. Click here to pre-order.

FOXTROT has just completed the latest section of shooting on its forthcoming cinema documentary about artist L.S. LOWRY.

SIR IAN McKELLEN joined the director MARGY KINMONTH and executive producer MAUREEN MURRAY in Salford, the home of THE LOWRY gallery, where the celebrated star delved into the archive to illustrate Lowry’s theatricality and followed in Lowry’s footsteps through the streets of Manchester.
