Remembering Dmitri Hvorostovsky

Margy Kinmonth and Maureen Murray are sad to hear of the passing of Dmitri Hvorostovsky.

Director Margy Kinmonth filmed him singing Tchaikovsky’s “To Forget So Soon” in Foxtrot’s film celebrating the anniversary of the Mariinsky Theatre, alongside artistic director Valery Gergiev, and The South Bank Show’s Melvyn Bragg. There’s a great behind the scenes moment at the Mariinsky as he rushes back between the applause to look for water.

Hear Dimitri Hvorostovsky sing here on the DVD: MARIINSKY THEATRE 1783 – 2008
